Behind Good Grief Media.
The idea of Good Grief Media came from a place of deep love and sincere admiration for a collection of culture, counterculture, and everything in between. We’ve seen time and time again, elders stating “I wish could’ve done this” “I should’ve done that”.
Well, our mission is to encourage others to follow their passion, creativity, and curiosity.
Therefore turning “I Wish I could’ve done that” into “I’m glad I did this”.
Through our behind-the-scenes interviews, clothing lines, and every other creative endeavor, our hope is to inspire you and show to that you CAN, in fact, do anything you set your mind to.
We resist the urge to surrender to society’s stereotypical rules of:
1) Going to College.
2) Getting a Desk Job.
3) Buying a house.
4) Starting a Family.
5) Dying.
*Unless that’s your thing, then more power to you.
We’re Here to Help You Become the Person You’ve Always Looked Up To.
About The Creator
Being portrayed as fat/gross/slobbish/gluttonous kid growing up, I tended to see myself as somewhat of a joke, and treated myself as such.
(nobody is funnier than a self-aware fat kid)
However,
as kids “mature” into pubescent and insecure teenagers, The Fat Kid is no longer in on the joke with them. Now, He IS The Joke. So at this point, I sought out a safehaven of likeminded weirdos, “Fat Kids”, and creative individuals.
(If you’re not familiar, think of The Island of Misfit Toys)
As I found my place, I ended up falling into much more than a social group. I soon realized that it’s okay to be odd, as a matter of fact it’s better that way. You end up bringing color to peoples’ lives. So this is for all of the people who helped me become the person I am today.
Thank You,
Nick
